This Application — Talevo — collects some Personal Data from its Users. Talevo is a family-focused product and we take the privacy of children and parents seriously.

Types of Data collected

Among the types of Personal Data that this Application collects, by itself or through third parties, there are: email address; child profile data supplied by the parent (first name, age group, interests, learning goals, optional profile photo); recurring story characters created by the parent (name, traits, AI-generated portrait); generated story text, illustrations and audio; learning history (which topics each child has explored); subscription and purchase history; usage data and IP address; crash diagnostics.

Child profile data is supplied voluntarily by the parent or guardian operating the account. Talevo is not directed at children under the age of 13, and accounts are created and managed by an adult. We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from children without parental consent.

Complete details on each type of Personal Data collected are provided in the dedicated sections of this privacy policy or by specific explanation texts displayed prior to the Data collection. Personal Data may be freely provided by the User, or, in case of Usage Data, collected automatically when using this Application. Users who are uncertain about which Personal Data is mandatory are welcome to contact the Owner.

Users are responsible for any third-party Personal Data obtained, published or shared through this Application and confirm that they have the third party's consent to provide the Data to the Owner.

Mode and place of processing the Data

Methods of processing

The Owner takes appropriate security measures to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, or unauthorized destruction of the Data. The Data processing is carried out using computers and/or IT enabled tools, following organizational procedures and modes strictly related to the purposes indicated. In addition to the Owner, in some cases, the Data may be accessible to certain types of persons in charge, involved with the operation of this Application (administration, sales, marketing, legal, system administration) or external parties (such as third-party technical service providers, mail carriers, hosting providers, IT companies, communications agencies) appointed, if necessary, as Data Processors by the Owner.

Legal basis of processing

The Owner may process Personal Data relating to Users if one of the following applies:

Users have given their consent for one or more specific purposes.
provision of Data is necessary for the performance of an agreement with the User and/or for any precontractual obligations thereof
processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which the Owner is subject
processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the Owner or by a third party

Place

Personal Data is primarily processed inside the European Union, on infrastructure operated by Google Ireland Limited. Some specialised processors operate in the United States; details and the safeguards we apply are listed under Transfers outside the EEA below.

Retention time

Personal Data shall be processed and stored for as long as required by the purpose they have been collected for. Generated stories and audio associated with a child profile are retained until the parent chooses to delete them or to delete the account.

Once the retention period expires, Personal Data shall be deleted.

The purposes of processing

The Data concerning the User is collected to allow the Owner to provide its Service (including generating personalized children's stories, audio narration, and illustrations), comply with its legal obligations, respond to enforcement requests, protect its rights and interests, detect any malicious or fraudulent activity, as well as: Hosting and backend infrastructure, Registration and authentication, AI story and audio generation, Crash and error reporting, Handling payments.

Detailed information on the processing of Personal Data

Personal Data is collected for the following purposes and using the following services:

Hosting and backend infrastructure

Google Firebase (Google Ireland Limited)

Talevo's backend runs on Google Firebase, a platform operated by Google Ireland Limited for users in the European Economic Area. Firebase handles user authentication, stores account data, child profiles, story content, illustrations, audio, and any photos uploaded for child profiles, runs the server-side logic that generates stories, and routes requests to Google Gemini (see AI story and audio generation below). All Firebase data and processing for Talevo is hosted in the European Union.

AI story and audio generation

Talevo uses third-party AI providers to generate story text, illustrations, and narrated audio on demand. Prompts are built from non-identifying profile fields (age group, selected interests, learning goals, recurring story characters created by the parent). Your child's first name is not sent to any third-party AI provider unless a parent explicitly types it into a custom story prompt. We have contractually disabled training on your data with each provider listed below.

Google Gemini, via Firebase AI Logic (Google Ireland Limited)

Used to generate story text and parent-facing learning metadata. Calls are routed through Firebase AI Logic, so requests are governed by Google's Firebase data processing terms.

Used to generate story illustrations. Talevo's account is configured with Zero Data Retention: prompts and generated images are not stored by Together AI after the request is served, and are not used to train any model.

Used to generate spoken narration from story text.

Registration and authentication

Passwordless email sign-in via Firebase Authentication

Users sign in by entering their email address and clicking a one-time link sent to that address. No password is stored.

Personal Data processed: email address.

Sign in with Apple (Apple Inc.)

Allows Users to authenticate via their Apple ID. Apple may share an email address (or a private relay address) and a user identifier with Talevo.

Personal Data processed: Apple user identifier; email address (real or relay).

Allows Users to authenticate via their Google account.

Crash and error reporting

Firebase Crashlytics (Google Ireland Limited)

Talevo uses Firebase Crashlytics to receive automatic crash reports so we can fix bugs that affect the app's stability. Crash reports include the device model, operating system version, app version, and a stack trace from the moment of the crash. Crash reports are not linked to a user identifier and contain no Personal Data of you or your child.

Handling Payments

RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc.)

RevenueCat handles in-app subscriptions and entitlement checks. RevenueCat receives a pseudonymous identifier corresponding to the User's Firebase account, and records purchase events from Apple and Google's payment systems. Talevo never receives or stores your payment card details — those are handled by Apple or Google directly.

Transfers outside the EEA

Most of Talevo's processing happens inside the European Union (Firebase, Gemini, Apple and Google sign-in for EU users, Crashlytics). Two of our processors — Together AI and Inworld AI — are based in the United States, and a third — RevenueCat — also processes payment metadata in the United States.

Where Personal Data is transferred to the United States, we rely on the following safeguards: the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the recipient is certified, and the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses as a fallback.

The rights of Users

Users may exercise certain rights regarding their Data processed by the Owner. In particular, Users have the right to do the following, to the extent permitted by law:

Withdraw their consent at any time.
Object to processing of their Data.
Access their Data and receive a copy.
Verify and seek rectification.
Restrict the processing of their Data.
Have their Personal Data deleted. You can also delete the account from inside the app — see our account deletion guide.
Receive their Data in a portable format.
Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.

How to exercise these rights

Any requests to exercise User rights can be directed to the Owner through info@talevo.ai. These requests can be exercised free of charge and will be answered by the Owner as early as possible and always within one month.

Children's privacy

Talevo is designed to be operated by a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly permit children under 13 (or the applicable age in your region) to create an account on their own. Child profile information (first name, age, interests, learning goals) is entered by the parent for the sole purpose of personalizing stories, and is never used for advertising or sold to third parties.

Legal action

The User's Personal Data may be used for legal purposes by the Owner in Court or in the stages leading to possible legal action arising from improper use of this Application or the related Services.

System logs and maintenance

For operation and maintenance purposes, this Application and any third-party services may collect files that record interaction with this Application (System logs) or use other Personal Data (such as the IP Address) for this purpose.

Changes to this privacy policy

The Owner reserves the right to make changes to this privacy policy at any time by notifying its Users on this page. It is strongly recommended to check this page often, referring to the date of the last modification listed at the bottom.

This privacy statement has been prepared based on provisions of multiple legislations, including Art. 13/14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation).
